Day 50. Beachcombing

We arrived at Marion Bay, Yorke Peninsula yesterday.

I love how the beach is different every day down here. The character and size grading of the sand, the structures it is shaped into – whether steep gradients or flat, hard surfaces – all change according to the tides and size of the swell.  The materials washed up on the beach also vary hugely.

Here’s a selection of sponges we found during a stroll on ‘our’ beach as the sun was going down yesterday:
