I was thrilled to wake up to news this morning that Michael McGuire won Journalist of the Year at last night’s SA Media Awards.
Not only is Michael a top journalist, I’m also proud to say he’s an enduring friend of my family. He’s a modest, unassuming fellow with a top sense of humour. When I can understand him, of course.
Here’s are a few of Michael’s articles I’ve enjoyed recently:
- interview with Antarctic adventurer and TEDxAdelaide favourite Tim Jarvis;
- the downfall of Lance Armstrong – here, here and here;
- Lost for Words – on why more Australians should be learning Chinese;
- his prize-winning article on SA minister Ian Hunter.
Congratulations to Michael, and wishing you luck for your day of work the morning after the night before.
